A customer have asked if whether we are a scam or not. The following is an answer to the question:

Thank you for taking the time to write to me. I sincerely appreciate you doing so.

I understand your concerns about scammers as I have also heard about them. We have been battling scammers for years, and there have been a number of them that have claimed to be us. Unfortunately, as the old saying goes “If it’s on the internet, it must be true” seems to haunt me and our company at times.

The people that wrote the negative reviews and comments about us have never been customers of ours, and some have been even found to be our competitors. As of today, most of them are no longer in business.

Scam | MC Helper | We Are NOT A Scam

We go to great lengths to establish who we are, our reputation, what we do, and help our customers. This is accomplished by starting with Work Order, with our sales receipt, our Service Delivery Sheet, and more. Furthermore, this process is supported in our website, and in the welcome email that the customer receives. For your reference here is copy of the paragraph:

“As always, please be aware of spurious calls/text offering refunds, fake renewal of security software, fake security breach alerts by pretending to be from MCHelper or some leading brands. For a helpful resource, visit, https://techsupportusa.online/customer-information-page/ and be aware of bad characters. Please contact us immediately if any of these situations occur.”

As I am sure you understand, there are a lot of requirements to be in business. If we, MCHelper, were truly a scam/fraud company, we simply would not be allowed to continue to do business with our banks. We are in good standing and registered with Visa/MC/AMEX/Discover and maintain an A+ rating with the BBB for over 9 years now. I also would like to emphasize the fact that we are Incorporated in the USA, and can easily be found. The scammers usually are not located here, in the USA, and they are very difficult to be found.

We have reported the incorrect comments we received to the moderators of the reviews sites, and we have reported any scam offenses to the local authorities, Google, our hosting company, and our phone service providers.

Unfortunately, there are dishonest persons out there. As a matter of fact, we ourselves received a phone call from a person claiming to be from MCHelper, saying that MCHelper was going out of business and that they needed to send a refund. The scammer didn’t even realize he was calling MCHelper.

I personally have received emails and phone calls like this from “Bank of America”, “MicroSoft”, “Apple”, “Yahoo”, and even from “MCHelper”. These are all obviously scams. I am confident you have heard of this, and maybe even got an email like that yourself.

Let me explain about me and MCHelper:

Several years ago I had an issue with my computer. It got a virus of some sort and I could not figure out how I was going to get rid of it, and why or how my computer got it.

I am in my 50’s and the computer “thing” passed me by. As a matter of fact, I didn’t understand computers, and actually, I disliked them. I didn’t understand how integral computers would later become in everyone’s life. That being said, when I got the virus, and couldn’t figure out how or why. I thought I’d simply have to buy another computer.

It was at this time that I called my friend, and during our conversation I said: “I think I have to buy another computer, mine seems to have crashed and burned”. My friend told me to let him take a look at my computer, and he’d fix it for me. That was the genesis of MCHelper. My friend lived in Montreal, and I told him that I would send my computer to him, buy another one, and that he can send me back the repaired computer so I can use it as a backup computer.

He said not to do that. He told me that he would get on my computer “remotely”. I thought he was crazy because I had never heard of this. Again, this was about 10 years ago. Anyway, he took over my computer remotely, with my permission of course, and repaired it in less than an hour. I was astounded.

As a results of this, I thought to myself: “here’s an idea of how to help people like me”.

So, a little over 9 years ago, MCHelper was started, and we have been helping people ever since.

We absolutely do not put any viruses, trojans, or any type of viruses on anyone’s computer. MCHelper does not make outbound calls to solicit people, and we never call our customers unless they ask us to do so. We do use LogMeIn for the remote help, and we address the concerns the customer’s call us for. MCHelper also provide Anti-Virus and VPN services through F-Secure.

There are bad and dishonest persons out there, but I can assure you with 100%, we are not a part of that.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Please feel free to contact me at any time.

Sincerely,

Tom Koziol
